"Falsum Vexillium," ("false flag" in Latin) questions the traditional representations of national identity. This work discards traditional emblems with their flat shapes and standardized colors, tied to rigidity and conformity, in favour of a renewed aesthetic and symbols enriched with new meanings. Each flag incorporates powerful elements—circles symbolize wholeness and femininity, sparkles signify aspirations, bold yellow represents hope, grey stands for temperance, electric blues convey modernity, iridescent shimmers evoke magic and enchantment, while symmetrical kaleidoscopic patterns reflect a universal architecture and connection to nature. These flags, "already tested by the wind," act as testaments to self-discovery through a reflection on the two nations to which I belong. They invite a redefinition in the representation of national identities, advocating for a reinvention of their meanings beyond standardized symbols.
